@Facehurt Yee, I was gonna go full chibi, but then I was reminded of Spiral Knights, and it kinda made me want to do similar proportions (¯▿¯)

I started a side project while also working on the doll. I made a little template "goober" body type to make fanart and things of the sort easier. Modeling a full sized character takes a lot of work to just do it for free. So I did this to calm down my fanart side of the brain.

@angyullic --organic characters, you might have to tweak a bunch of stuff with less shit topology so it bends properly specially near the hips. Though at the same time, my current topology works perfectly for some reason lol.

@angyullic Here you go! I tried to give a full body shot and closeup angles of the tummy so you can see which vertices are pushed back into the body and which ones are a bit further forward. Because it's a doll tho, I don't need to worry about the topology's flow as much, so with fully--

After making the doll arm for Pain-chan, I'm now making a full doll body template, really happy with how it's turning out, I'm specially happy with the tummy, it's literally just like 4-6 vertices on each side being pulled around in specific ways to make the shadows do that.

@MBnuyy It gets SO complicated, good luck! Trial and error.

I have been feeling very limited by my low resolution textures, to the point of frustration, so I decided I wish to experiment with higher resolution textures, at least for the face, and see what happens. Here's a higher fidelity Yun while I test out different island sizes.

@DaBigCheez_brgr Funny you say that, I'm currently also learning to sculpt to make stuff similar to Deadlock's artstyle, and I guess Arcane, stuff like that. I'm learning to do realism first, so I can then begin stylization practice. After all, you can always just have multiple styles!

@hunter_riker Yeah the shadows under her eyes are a lot more noticeable at this resolution. And she kinda looks traumatized thanks to her eyes not having any shading atm LOL.

@MBnuyy The shadows under her eyes do help them pop out alot more! Also Yun looks like she's seen some things

@RouvenorH I'll write that down on my Obsidian LOL, it might be a good idea to split it into factions when I start developing them more in depth yeah, it might also help avoid making these "aliens" into a two dimensional bad-guy character.

A little bit of Kerosene. I've been holding onto this one for a while, it's a map of the world showing the layout of the continents. Drawing a map is fun, and loredumping is too, but sadly Twitter doesn't let you zoom in so you have to open the image separately lol.

@RouvenorH ...and on top of that I'm also undecided on WHAT they are as a whole, machines? machine and flesh, just flesh, monsters, bugs, bones, eldritch horrors... there's too much, and they're like, one of the most important parts of the lore, which makes it scary to decide LOL.

@RouvenorH At the moment I'm still undecided, there are too many cool ideas I could explore with them, which makes it really hard to decide. They could be a type of horde yeah, like a wave of bodies trying to take over, but they could easily be a "normal" but powerful quantity...

@LunaSchattenZ Yeah they're made gray like concrete by the deity that spawned them, they're still flesh and bone tho, and it's considered fashionable to paint their faces a bit, as a way of adding colour to them.

Okay, so, I wanna take the worldbuilding thing more seriously, It's like my favorite thing. So yeah, while talking to a friend, we kinda came up with some ideas, and it led to these, on top of that, I really wanted to come up with a name for the setting.

Ōmukade. I've wanted to give one of the multitude of gods that reside in Kerosene a physical form for AGES, this is the first, one of the "Five Poisons", a group of gods that do nothing else than cause chaos. It's a very... 2D character, but that's fine in moderation I guess lol.

@FaultierVT Yokai in general are some of the coolest shit to come out of human folklore, and there are like five million of them, it's a treasure trove of inspiration for cool creatures, Gashadokuro being one of my faves.

@MBnuyy Omukade is one of my favorite Yokai and I love seeing it portrayed in media. The centipede arm is pretty sick
