A short spike in gas prices IS VERY ACCEPTABLE as a result in eliminating a theocratic suicidal nation chanting "death to America" and very close to or, in possession of a deliverable nuclear weapon. Your opinion, while complying with 1st amendment principles, is very self-centered. Oh woe is you!

I’m sorry but fck the people who decided this war with Iran was a good idea. These gas prices are unacceptable. Especially when we have enough of our own fuel to energy independent. For diesel to be $5.39 in TX is effing absurd.

𝐕𝐃𝐇: “𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐀 𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐁𝐘 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐒 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄” Victor Davis Hanson just laid out the single most important strategic consequence of Europe’s refusal to cooperate with the Iran operation — and it’s not what the European foreign ministries think it is. “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘢 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦. 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘕𝘈𝘛𝘖 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘴, 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘕𝘈𝘛𝘖 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥.” That’s the core of it. The United States accounts for roughly 𝟔𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐎 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 — $𝟗𝟖𝟎 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 in 2025 alone (NATO). More than every other member nation combined. The U.S. didn’t ask Europe to fight. It didn’t ask for troops, logistics, or intelligence. It asked for 𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 — the most basic privilege any alliance member extends. France said no. Italy denied landing rights at Sigonella. Spain closed its airspace entirely. Austria cited “neutrality” — while sheltering under an American nuclear umbrella (Bloomberg; Euronews). VDH’s response was devastating in its simplicity: “𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭? 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭. 𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘶𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴. 𝘞𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘰.” He’s calling the bluff. Europe wants to posture as the moral alternative to American power — let them back it up. Let them secure the Strait of Hormuz. Let them deter Tehran’s ballistic program. Let them patrol the Gulf without the U.S. Fifth Fleet. Then Hanson put the military reality in perspective: “𝘞𝘦’𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 93 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘴.” He’s right. In 𝟑𝟒 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, the U.S. and Israel dismantled Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, its missile production facilities, its naval assets, and its air defenses. The total U.S. combat fatalities stand at 𝟏𝟓 — tragic, every one — but historically unprecedented for a campaign of this scale against a nation of nearly 100 million. And as VDH pointed out, this is a war where 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 and still overwhelms the opposition. That’s not recklessness. That’s dominance so complete that transparency is a strategic luxury. The Europeans who denied airspace are now watching the same campaign succeed without them — which means the next time NATO comes up for discussion, the American argument writes itself. Trump already called NATO a “𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫” last week (CNN). VDH just explained why. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟕𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐞.

I'm hearing a lot of remorse about voting for Kamala in my blue town where I'm a well known red dot. They tell me they had no idea how awesome America would be under Trump, and they are sorry for doubting me. That I was right. That ending mass illegal immigration, restoring voting integrity and bringing back good-paying jobs for Americans was the right course. And I don't rub it in their face. We are all united for Trump. We will get back to our differences once we have a lesser President. Then we all held hands, sang "Kumbaya" and skipped down the street to the mercantile to get egg creams.

I admire your respect for Israel. If I was ever to consider dual-citizenship, Israel was my first country of secondary choice for application. Israelis are the absolute toughest people on planet earth. Unlike the many limpd**k, brillo-pu****s in this country who don't understand that "America First" also means killing and absolute destruction occasionally to protect such concepts. "Anti-War" DOES NOT mean anti-fight, kill or destroy....especially when the target was close to, or in possession of, a nuclear weapon and suicidal, theocratic tendencies.

I’m going to say something that some people in the MAGA movement and Republican circles are not going to like. You can support President Trump and still question things - that’s fine. But some of the opposition to Operation Epic Fury is completely missing the bigger picture. I keep hearing: “No more wars.” “Focus only on America.” “Not our problem.” That sounds good emotionally, but geopolitics does not work like that. If Iran gets nuclear weapons, this is no longer a Middle East problem. That becomes a global power problem overnight. Shipping lanes, oil, the Strait of Hormuz, global energy prices, terrorism, regional nuclear arms race - all of that hits the United States economically and strategically whether people like it or not. Then there’s something most people don’t even think about: the Petro Dollar. If the U.S. loses control of global oil trade influence and the dollar stops being the world’s reserve currency tied to energy markets, America doesn’t just have a foreign policy problem - you now have an economic survival problem. Inflation, debt, interest rates, cost of living - everything changes. Some people are acting like President Trump just woke up and wanted a war. Presidents don’t approve major military operations for fun. They do it because they believe the long-term threat is bigger than the short-term political damage. You don’t have to like war. Nobody should. But pretending the world is not dangerous and that America can just ignore nuclear ambitions, global trade routes, and energy markets is not how superpowers survive. Sometimes the decision isn’t between war and peace. Sometimes the decision is between acting now or dealing with something much worse later. You're an American, act and talk like one who understands this important aspect of your country's survival as a super power or become like the UK.

I voted for Donald J Trump 37 times. I supported him from the moment he came down the escalator. I donated all my 2024 X earnings to his campaign. Last night was my breaking point. I can’t believe he didn’t go on TV and broadcast his war plans with exact coordinates and precise timeframes to the Iranian regime. I will now religiously follow Candace Owens and take out a second mortgage so I can donate to Thomas Massie.

Tires with 11,000 miles and a nail. Firestone told me they are not repairable. Firestone said this is not repairable because of the location and that I would need a new tire. It's a slow leak, about 1-2 psi a day. I am in disbelief that this is not repairable.. Can I not just get a fix kit? 🤧

Trump has gone too far this time. It's time we vote BLUE in the Midterms, except for James Fishback, who now has my total endorsement! Immigration is a DEAD issue, we must divert ALL of our energy to hating a country halfway across the globe instead of protecting our nation!

That's because they know they won't be held accountable by a conservative base with a known history of crappy, lazy voting habits. Think of this: we threaten to "stay home" which indirectly helps elect Democrats or we threaten to vote the opposition (Democrats), thinking we're going to get a better deal. We're embarrassingly "effed" up.
Dan Hill@dandinohill

Thune and the Senate Republicans have managed to piss off their entire Base. And yet, they don't seem even remotely concerned... Strange people.

This is the reason the GOP won't abolish the filibuster IMO. It protects GOP Senators from having to cast "No" votes that will make the MAGA base of the GOP unhappy. As long as the Dems can stop things from getting voted on that the GOP Senator doesn't support, he's saved from having to take a position on the subject. The Senate has 10+ GOP members who do not support a significant portion of the MAGA agenda. SAVE Act is a great example -- most would support a simple Voter ID law. But one estimate I heard is that maybe fewer than 40 are solid votes on the SAVE ACT as a whole. But Dems filibustering makes it unncessary for them to act.

GOP CONGRESS DELIVERED! - Folks keep saying Republicans in Congress haven't done squat since Trump took office on January 20th, but that's flat out wrong. House Republicans PASSED HUNDREDS OF SOLID BILLS this year. Real work got done. The damned filibuster killed them! THE HOUSE PUSHED THROUGH 441 BILLS IN 2025, many strong conservative priorities on taxes, border security, and rolling back Biden rules that died in the Senate due to the Democrat filibuster needing 60 votes.

@shipwreckedcrew Here’s the difference: Collins represents very blue Maine. Thune represents very red South Dakota. As to the “caucus”? I don’t want a Senate Majority Leader that represents other Senators. I want one that represents US citizen constituents.

For those desiring to see Thune removed as Majority Leader you are not appreciating one overriding fact: He's the Senator for North --- ehhh South -- Dakota, not MAGA. As Majority Leader, he is the leader of the Senate GOP Caucus, not MAGA. The GOP Caucus elected him 29-23. The runner-up was John Cornyn. Does that make you any happier? Rick Scott was in the first round of voting and got only 13 of 53 votes -- 40 GOP Senators wanted someone else. Thune was elected by the caucus and it is only the caucus that is going to get rid of him -- not MAGA. Much like the complaints against Susan Collins -- if you have an alternative Majority Leader who can get 27 votes from his/her colleagues, then name him/her. But saying nothing more than "Thune Must Go" without answer "Who replaces him" is just performative gripping with no meaningful alternative.

Vote better Republicans because the level of "suck" is far worse with Democrats....very, very near the level of "domestic enemy" with the strong " anti-constitution/anti-border" faction. The only way to keep "domestic enemies" from achieving power is smart, consistent, secure voting or civil war. Choose wisely

I don't believe American First Conservatives understood the depth of hatred that Establishment Republicans have for President Trump and his agenda to clean up DC. John Thune knows that he holds the most powerful position in Congress. And he's using that power to slow down and in some cases outright stop the president's platform. The RNC has clearly shown very little interest in winning the midterms. State and local GOP parties are actively removing America First voters from leadership positions. Evangelicals were stripped of their power base during the platform debates leading up to the 2024 election. And the Establishment has installed their own fake "conservative pundits" within many of the major cable television networks. Thune and the Establishment Republicans are hoping for a Blue Wave in November. They know that's the only way to destroy President Trump and the America First movement. After the midterms there will be a ferocious effort to purge from the party all of the populists and America First Conservatives. Pay attention, friends.
