For the families who attend the Ghyll Head residential, the experience goes far beyond a few days away. Children build confidence, trying things they never thought possible. Parents connect with others facing similar challenges. They return home stronger, closer and more hopeful.

Every year, thousands of families reach out to MCR City Council. One of the ways we help is through our family residential in the Lake District @Ghyll_Head. We have funded breaks for MCR families since 2015. For many, it’s their first family break or their first time leaving MCR.

This year, We Love MCR Charity was gifted tickets to the @BRITs. We invited a group of MCR Rising Stars, one of them was Precious, a content creator building her career with support from our Rising Stars Fund. She put it straight into action at the BRITs. A full circle moment.

We Love MCR Charity is the nominated event charity partner for @MADFESTLONDON 2026, where thousands of brands, agencies and tech platforms will gather in MCR. Through the event app, attendees will be able to donate directly to support our work across the city. @mpaweareyou ♥️

Thanks to the continued support of @Brabners through the Maurice Watkins Bursary: • 11 young people have been supported since 2022 • £30K has already been invested • Two students are now completing their Bar Practice Course • A further £45K has been committed through to 2028

@BrabnersLLP have been partners of We Love MCR Charity since 2022, supporting young Mancunians pursuing a career in law through our Rising Stars Fund. And the impact continues. They've committed a further £45K over the next three years, extending the bursary until 2028.

Last week we visited two brilliant groups we’re proud to support. First stop was Conversations Over Borders, where we’ve funded a group for refugee and asylum seeking women. We also visited Lips Inked Arts an arts group working with young people to create stop motion films.
