In History this term we have been learning all about the Suffragette Movement and their fight for women’s rights. Today Year 9 debated using historical sources on ‘for’ and ‘against’ women’s rights to vote. Students showed maturity, understanding and empathy throughout! 🗳️🙋🏽‍♀️

Dosbarth Derwen have been exploring parts of the plants that we eat. They tasted the roots - carrots and radishes. The leaves - lettuce, the fruit - apples and blue berries. The flowers  - broccoli and the seeds - mangetout and chickpeas (in the form of hummus). #Yummy 🍎🌱🥦

Year 9 have started a topic named ‘The Green Man’ and will be designing and making their own Green Man, using clay. First they have traced around their faces to create their initial design 🍀🍃🍁
