💔 The saddest thing to see is a fighter who once relied on speed, timing, and reactions lose it all with age. But Izzy stayed true to his word and gave us an exciting fight with Joe Pyfer. Adesanya is 36 now. He says he wants to continue and true fans will keep supporting him.

Idk I’m a bit confused after that one, Adesanya seemingly was a lot better than Pyfer, the gameplan of stuffing the takedowns, compromising the front leg, while sticking & moving seemed like it would eventually lead to a finish later in the fight. But randomly dropping the gameplan to sit and brawl with a heavy handed fighter? It seemed like he was in there to “have fun” rather than win. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but very tough & frustrating to watch from a fan POV. #UFCSeattle

He looks slower every time out But he actually did better than expected and had Pyfer hurt, but he got reckless. It felt like he was more obsessed with creating a moment than actually winning the fight….IT HURTS 💔 Still, Will forever be my favourite fighter of all time !!!!!

It’s weird, because I don’t think Adesanya is actually ‘washed’ He still looks really good in these losses he’s been taking, but it’s his fight IQ what’s declined massively. Just makes it more frustrating to watch him lose because he can still compete.

It’s like Izzy has forgotten everything he’s ever known about fighting. Standing in the pocket hands down, allowing damage without repercussion. Gave his back multiple times & ultimately gets punched out

Israel Adesanya’s downfall is self-inflicted. He is trying to aura farm and chase viral, clippable moments like the Pereira fight. He was eye poked by Imavov. Instead of taking the required time to recover he waved the ref off, switched stances and got chinned. He was peppering Pyfer’s legs from distance instead of doing what was working he got close to try to score a viral moment and paid the price. I hope he’s humble enough to stop allowing his parents witness these painful scenes of his defeat and fall from glory because of his own ego.

Izzy is reminding me of late-career Anderson lately where he's just out there to perform. Not even sure he cares about winning.

Izzy doesn’t have that energy anymore. After the Pereira fight, he left it all in the cage and accomplished his mission. Now, with no mountains left to climb, he’s lost his sense of purpose. Psychologicaly, the hunger just isn’t there anymore. That’s my opinion.

Usually fighters get smarter as they get older, Joe Pyfer is gassed out in 2 rounds with a hurt leg and Adesanya decided to trade blows. IZZY LOSES ANOTHER FIGHT WHERE A DUMB DECISION COSTS HIM #UFCSeattle
