May 4th is the start of a two-week warning period for the School Bus Infraction Detection Program. Drivers caught illegally passing a school bus will receive a warning letter. No civil penalties during this time. Beginning May 18, a $225 civil penalty applies. For more information, visit bussafety.dadeschools.net.

Today, we announced the relaunch of our School Bus Infraction Detection Program in partnership with the @MiamiDade_SO and @BusPatrol_. By equipping nearly 900 @MDCPS buses with cameras to catch illegal stop-arm passes, we are prioritizing student safety and changing dangerous driver behavior.
