Today, our staff and faculty came together with our colleagues from @FIU with a shared vision: making sure MDC students experience a clear, supported, and seamless transition when they transfer to FIU.
We had planning sessions around advising alignment, scholarship pathways, curriculum coordination, and the behind-the-scenes collaboration that helps students move from an AA at MDC to a next step at FIU.
FIU is our longtime partner and the top transfer destination for MDC students, which makes this work especially meaningful. These annual convenings allow teams from both institutions to share what’s working, identify gaps, and strengthen the transfer pipeline that so many of our students rely on.
Most importantly, this progress is made possible by the countless advisors, faculty members, and staff who work every day to ensure our students don’t just transfer, but thrive. Thank you for the care, coordination, and commitment that make this partnership work.
