Tax Day may have passed, but our teams are still hard at work processing tax returns!
So far this year, we have processed 2,858,436 Maryland income tax returns and issued more than $2.5 billion in refunds, with an average processing time of 3-5 days for the majority of returns. As in years past, paper checks take more time to process, averaging 22-25 days and sometimes even longer.
