Productive meeting with President @vonderleyen ahead of the #EPCSummit. Discussed #Moldova’s future in the #EU family & expressed gratitude to the Commission for the support announced today for Moldova and its people.

We stand in solidarity with Moldova as shockwaves of Russia’s brutal war continue to impact the country. Today we propose to top up macro-financial assistance to Moldova by €145 million. This will greatly support the country's economy and energy security.

Welcomed a delegation from the Polish Sejm to @MoldovaMFA today. Pleasure to speak to Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee @radekfogiel & Chair of EU Affairs Committee @KacperPlazynski. Grateful to Poland for standing firmly behind Moldova and our ambition to join the EU.

In my phone call w/ Tánaiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs & Minister for Defence @MichealMartinTD today I congratulated him on the new role, discussed bilateral ties, support for Moldovan diaspora living in Ireland and decisive steps we are taking towards EU membership.

Glad to meet 🇨🇭President @alain_berset at #WEF23. We are building on the already strong bilateral ties & stepping up cooperation on security, development & environment protection. Also discussed next steps towards signing EFTA and advancing the social security agreement.

Invitations for the 2nd Summit of the European Political Community are out today! On June 1st, we will host in #Chisinau 47 heads of states, governments, and EU institutions. Looking forward to seeing everyone in 🇲🇩 Moldova.

#Moldova successfully passed the second review of the #IMF programme & will receive the next tranche of $27 million for budgetary support. I thank our IMF partners for their assistance & reaffirm the commitment to the programme implementation for the development of the country.

Delighted to be back to Riga for discussions with my counterpart @edgarsrinkevics. We spoke about Moldova’s EU accession & Latvia’s support for our membership path; exchanged views on regional security; and discussed a range of bilateral issues including boosting business links.

Today in Tallinn I met @HPevkur, Estonia’s Defence Minister, for an exchange of views on regional security situation, Moldova’s defence sector modernisation with the help and expertise from friends & partners such as Estonia and on continued support via European Peace Facility.

Good meeting at Estonia’s @Riigikogu w/ Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee @SuttAndres & Deputy Chair Enn Eesma to discuss Moldova’s determination to join the EU, consolidate its democracy and build its resilience to hybrid threats.

After a great meeting with @nicupopescu i reiterated that #Estonia🇪🇪 supports #Moldova’s🇲🇩 path to join us in the #EU🇪🇺. As we went through very similar process almost 2️⃣0️⃣ years ago it’s important to share & assist the ones who seek that roadmap. 🇪🇪🤝🇲🇩
