As the Quran recounts, Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, saw in a dream that he was sacrificing his beloved son Ismail (AS). The dreams of prophets are a form of divine revelation, so Ibrahim, peace be upon him, understood this as a direct command from Allah (swt). In an act of total submission that has echoed through millennia, he, Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, prepared to carry out the command. When he told his son, Ismail (AS) did not flinch. Instead, he said to his father, words that still move hearts today: "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, among the patient." The Eid Al Adha teaches us peace, compassion, sacrifice and a sense of brotherhood, city Ameer further adds.
