The dream has become reality @ZuckermanBrain. PhD student @RyanWSchwark in the lab is set to embark on some cool experiments. We have a colony of 50 naked mole rats, and the breeding male is 21 years old and the queen is 14 years old.

@MDSchaffler I totally agree! But the good news is that you dont have to stay for the length of the grant. By the time I got my NOA/ the money rolled in I was already planning my escape and only used 1 year of my F31.

My F31 timeline:
1st submission: April 2020
Resubmission: Dec 2020
NOA: August 2021
Is there a way to shorten the timeline for certain career stages? It doesn't make much sense to me that a post-candidacy award process can take 1.5 years when post-candidacy only lasts ~3-4 yrs
