enhancedpv is indefinitely suspended from events in Maryland, Virginia, & DC with the ability to appeal after 6 months, due to repeated anti-LGBT speech after warnings and bans from multiple TOs. This is effective on the notification send date of 11/25/2025.

Effective for 3 months backdated to the temporary suspension start date 9/27/25, sora893 is suspended from attending MDVA Smash events for repeated instances of inappropriate and invasive conduct. End of suspension appeal required post-suspension.

We are announcing a new rule regarding QRT/commenting on suspension/ban announcements. Making jokes or inappropriate comments in regard to these could be seen as targeted harassment, and could result in a warning or further action. Our goal is transparency, not public shaming.

The MDVA TO Council has voted to follow this decision, extending this ban to the MDVA region.

Trey (@trey_4474) is indefinitely banned from events in Maryland and Virginia, due to various reports of rampant transphobia and harassment, with the ability to appeal. This is effective on the notification send date of 5/07/2025.

Aaron (Spicy, YippieDiddlyDoo, AmarX) is indefinitely banned from events in Maryland & Virginia, due to repeated cases of harassment throughout the community, with the ability to appeal. This is effective on the notification send date of 4/08/2025.

Devin.exe (alts have included Mudkip, Mega Bidoof, Gooney Tunes) is indefinitely banned from events in Maryland & Virginia, with the ability to appeal. This is effective on the notification send date of 3/12/2024.

Effective from 12/27/24 to 3/27/25, Mr. Pink is suspended from attending MDVA Smash events for repeat outbursts of rage, including slamming and damaging venue property.

Azure X Phantom aka Hood Goth is indefinitely banned from events in Maryland and Virginia, due to inappropriate conduct at a tournament, with the ability to appeal. This is effective on the notification send date of 9/02/2024.

Effective from 6/10/24 to 8/8/24, PawnMaster is suspended from attending MDVA Smash events for repeat outbursts of rage, including slamming and throwing objects.

We have received multiple reports of various inappropriate verbal and physical interactions from the player Josue. As such, Josue will be indefinitely banned from events in Maryland and Virginia with the ability to appeal. This is effective starting today, 5/09/2024.

For clarification, Towa/Swifter will not automatically be placed on the MDVA TO Council. For now, he is simply the primary TO for The Cave. In the future, the Council may hold a vote should we see a need for an additional voting member.

As of today, Monday April 15th, AGenericName/Generic/AGenericMichael will no longer be on the MDVA TO Council. Similarly, he will no longer be the TO for The Cave local. Starting this Thursday, April 18th, Towa/Swifter will act as the TO. As always, thank you for your support.
