@agmacor Interesting! The wardrobe book sounds pretty cool. BTW, I’m waiting on delivery of the 1954 reissue press book which I found on the ‘Bay.

@MDW23 That would be a find! But almost sounds too "rich" for Goldwyn to do. Come to think of it, I didn't see anything in the wardrobe book so maybe it was Andrews'?

@MDW23 So interesting! I assume her biz manager filled it out. My uncle (a priest at Notre Dame) is also a fountain pen enthusiast and has a cool collection.

@MDW23 Don't remember anything about this in the production log, but it could have had something to do with the heaviness of Russell's accent, which was an issue throughout.

@agmacor Okay, hold the phone! Her own husband didn’t know she could be seductive without someone else taking pictures of her?!? Poor guy was just working too hard….

@agmacor Cool! DVR set. When it comes to such seasonal films, I always like to recommend “Dead of Night” (1945) as one of my favorites since I was a kid. TCM has shown it in the past but I don’t see it this year.

For #JohnWaters, #WilliamCastle "was God" and inspired his own career. Like a reported 20 million other Americans, a young Waters got his butt buzzed by Percepto, the gimmick in THE TINGLER. See the movie later tonight on #TCM! #TCMParty

@agmacor As a fountain pen collector with a fondness for Parker pens, this is particularly fun for me.

@agmacor I have a signed photo of General Bradley which I got in a charity auction in 1976.

On #TCM tonight! Excited to watch this new French documentary about #WilliamWyler with archival photos and super 8 footage from the Wyler family collection. I was given access to some of that collection for my book about #TheBestYearsOfOurLives, and it’s impressive. #TCMParty

@agmacor And Sy Bartlett, who co-wrote the book and screenplay (along with Beirne Lay) for “Twelve O’Clock High,” another film gem.

TGIF, #TCMParty! Always love the laid-back camaraderie of this on-set photo from #TheBestYearsofOurLives. Everyone looks pretty happy (including lurker Danny Kaye visiting from the WALTER MITTY set)...and then there's Gen. Curtis LeMay 😳 #WWII 📸 Wyler

Flight attendant Doris Fessette (rt) was discovered during the "airborne premiere" of THE KID FROM BROOKLYN, and Samuel Goldwyn cast her in #TheBestYearsofOurLives as the "camera girl" who's bossed around in the nightclub scene by #VirginiaMayo. #TCMParty

@cliche_mist @agmacor Al is indeed the funny one. Bursting into Butch’s and introducing his two new friends by reversing their names. Showering with his pajamas on. Mixing his Bromo and first drinking from the empty glass.

@agmacor The funniest bit is when Al drops his army boots out the window.
