Rest On My Brother. Your cousin and I trained in the same battalion while i was in the NDA. I must speak of his calmness, Ejeh had no times for drama, he served as though as long as he played his part, that is all that mattered to him. He wasn't the most macho-looking officer but he has heart, he was brave when the time needed it most. I took up politics for men like these, to ensure their families are looked after when they have gone to the eternal, when they finally rest from the problems of the world. other will mourn, but i'll rather say; rest in peace, because we know, it is more peaceful out there.

💔💔The last time I saw Papa was in November 2025. I was travelling home to Makurdi for our uncle’s wedding. My sisters and I had chartered a Benue Links vehicle for the trip. As is customary, the vehicle stopped in Lafia for their routine bookkeeping and passenger record. When we stopped, I stepped out of the vehicle briefly. As I was walking, I suddenly saw someone familiar it was Papa. I was surprised to see him there, and when he saw me, he was even more shocked. It seemed like neither of us expected to see the other in that moment. He had been travelling from Maiduguri and was extremely ill at the time. He was so sick that the people he was travelling with thought he might not survive the journey. When I saw the condition he was in, I immediately went to speak with the driver of his vehicle and the passengers. I collected his bag and brought him over to the vehicle my sisters and I had chartered. We then continued the journey together to Makurdi. When we arrived, he was taken straight to the hospital for treatment. Thankfully, he got better. Just two days later, on the 3rd of November, he was even able to attend the wedding. Seeing him there was comforting, especially after how sick he had been. That wedding was the last time I saw him. The last time we spoke was on his birthday when I wished him a happy birthday. I never imagined that it would be the final time I would hear from him. Looking back at that unexpected meeting in Lafia, I realize how significant that moment was. What seemed like an ordinary stop during a journey turned out to be the last time I would see my cousin in person. I am grateful that in that moment. May your soul rest in peace Papa.
