To be honest, I was quite surprised when I received the request to create an illustration for METAL SLUG’s 30th anniversary, especially since it’s been quite some time since I left SNK.
For this piece, I focused on capturing the unique world of METAL SLUG and incorporating its diverse cast of characters.
It had been a long time since I last drew METAL SLUG, so it was a bit challenging at times—but I truly enjoyed the process.
