@EmilySm43 Case in point: My quiet brother was expelled for one comment while the kids who bullied him got away scott free.

@EmilySm43 I've seen it happen many times in my local school system: they say "0 tolerance for bullies", but they routinely punish kids that don't deserve it &give benefit of the doubt to ones who do deserve punishment.

@ElChandler Books I've borrowed too long from friends/fam and need to return to owner soon. Currently, The Feather Thief. Next, I need to finally finish Dune and give back to my little brother.

@Chronodendron It really sucks. Ebooks are a wonderful option to have for storage and travel. Tbh, tho, I have often found it so much harder to engage with and finish reading ebooks. Idk why. But now I'm becoming more grateful that ebooks aren't my primary way of reading.

I’m so upset… My Kindle is fifteen years old. It still works fine, and I want no other. I read a lot, and this is the only e-reader that doesn’t hurt my eyes. None of the new models have a screen that so perfectly mimics paper. And now Amazon is forcing me to buy a new one. 😡 I don’t need a touchscreen or sound, and I definitely don’t want adverts! 🤬 The timing couldn’t be worse either… I can’t afford it right now. ☹️ I guess I won’t be buying more ebooks for a while... I’ll just have to read the ones I already have.

@Chronodendron Money, money. Amazon aspiring to be Apple. Phones don't always improve every gen, but they take your money anyway and stop updating when they feel like it. 😒
