🚨BREAKING— 🚨In Tamoun moments ago, special forces from the Israeli army opened fire at a family in the car—- 4 killed, the mother the father, & 2 children. -Ali Bani Odeh, 37 -Waad Bani Odeh, 35 -Mohammad Bani Odeh, 5 -Othman Bani Odeh, 6 🚨CONTEXT— ⚫️ As Israel shows no intention to cease attacks on Lebanon and Iran, it is also escalating and intensifying violence on the ground in the West Bank. ⚫️ At least 13 Palestinians have been killed in the last weeks in the West Bank by armed Israelis (this includes the military and Israeli settlers armed with military grade weapons) ⚫️ This is a massacre of a family, and comes less than 24 hours after settlers killed a young man in Qusra Nablus. ⚫️ The violence in Nablus is escalating as settlers expand settlements and outposts such as Har Ebal as we saw earlier this week. ⚫️ For a while now, the southern part of Nablus is effectively closed off from the rest of Nablus, and due to checkpoints, army raids, and settler violence, Palestinian families are being cut off from access to hospital and other resources. ⚫️ This massacre of a family is only the latest incident in a growing trend of intensifying violence in the West Bank amid global attention focused on war with Iran.
