COACH OF THE WEEK! Congratulations to our Week 4 Farah and Farah Coach of the Week, Joshua Bratovich with Bartram Trail High School! Coach Bratovich the Bears took a victory over the Fleming Island Golden Eagles, final score 12-7.

@FiredCoaches This isn’t the norm in Florida or at least here. This situation is an outlier and you can tell it’s more for the dad rather the kid. The gap year thing is however a problem.

Florida High School Football is a different world. After a “Gap Year” - We get an announcement video for an incoming Freshman QB and where he is attending school. At least for this year.

@JustinBarneyTV @YsMesp A fact people I think over look is that it wasn’t a state law that booster clubs can’t pay coaches. That’s always been up to a county basis. I could be wrong but don’t think I am

@YsMesp Yes, no way it would have passed otherwise in era where teacher pay ranks 50th. But loosening the reins for booster pay and encouraging a "free market" where coaches can go after what they're worth is the ultimate goal. Won't work everywhere at all. But it's a small step.

The legislature passed this bill, knowing they don't have to pay for it.
