Two huge misses by the referees cost Santa Clara against Kentucky.
The first was a clean strip that led to two Otega Oweh free throws. The second? Not acknowledging a timeout by the Santa Clara head coach ahead of the game-tying buzzer beater.

Coaches are allowed to call a timeout on dead balls, which was the case before Kentucky inbounded the ball.
Had Sendek been granted his timeout, his team could've been better prepared for the Wildcats' final possession.

@DrJN_SportsMed We used to see these in BCT a lot. Hip pain is frequently poorly localized, and thankfully, we could get same-day bone scintigraphy. If positive, we would f/u with MRI to ascertain the extent of injury.

@larrygloverlive We're somehow not even competitive right now. Game ending with their scrubs on the floor is an embarrassment. This team plays like they don't like each other and they look for shots before assists.
