NISEME NISISEME! ACHA NISEME INITOKE ! I have been tagged by several people on this case and everyone is waiting for my response. Because I have also seen it and the lady has not reached out to me to complain in our Huduma center. lakini acha niseme ni uchungu sana kuona yale nimeona. The information I have received is that the lady was taking her younger sister back to school and the moment she got to town she requested to be given back her change (balance having paid Kshs 1000). The conductor was rude, they exchanged words, he slapped her and ran away. The lady requested the driver to intervene, instead the driver told her to go report anywhere she wants including heaven. The angry lady then committed the offense of breaking the vehicle windscreen due to anger and frustrations. I call upon the police to investigate and take action against the three of them involved in this matter. Also most conductors in public transport have this tendency of keeping people’s change and run away pretending to be looking for loose money until some of their clients wait and get tired of waiting, they later go without their hard earned money. My appeal to police, once such a case is reported to you, getting evidence from the complainant is not easy unless they record when giving out money. If you want evidence then let all Matatu’s be installed with CCTVs because many people are usually and intentionally harassed by Matatu operators and they end up not getting justice. Even some people have been thrown out of moving matatus and some have even been killed and nobody is talking about it. It is time we address this issue once and for all. It is clear in black and white that most conductors have no respect for their clients.
