Costing team @MFTNHS @MFTFinance utilising Patient Level Costing #PLICS data to support better decision making across our clinical services
The ION system accurately, safely samples small spots in the lungs for cancer so patients can be treated as soon as possible. @MFTnhs are among the first in Europe to adopt it 🦾 Technology is central to our 10 Year Health Plan, improving patient care and saving lives.
Had a fantastic time at #HealthCareersLive yesterday @MFTnhs , I was joined by a fanatically engaging panel to discuss non clinical health careers. It was great to hear how Linda, Helen, Sam & Don found their way into their current roles & what those roles bring to patients

Excellent meeting with Shweta from ENT, following fantastic work already done with Ian @CodingMFT we were able to use #PLICSinPractice data to dive into greater depth of variations in Unit Cost, LoS, Theatres etc against national peers & between hospital sites in the trust
Fascinating discussion with Clinical Coding, Analytical, Clinical & @NHSEngland colleagues as part of an Options Appraisal Workshop for ICD-11 Implementation. Heartening to see a great deal of expertise and the breadth of professions of the people invited. #foodforthought
