We have another new mobile EV technician on the road. This is Ant. He's ex-RAC, completed his apprenticeship at Mercedes-Benz and finished his training with us yesterday. He starts on his own from Monday and will be working the south of the country, so some of you will be meeting him very soon.

Despite the constant #FUD re #ev sales (315k new ones registered in 2023), the new Sainsbury's at Meols Cop, Southport has changed its planning application, removing a planned petrol forecourt and replacing it entirely with a 14-bay ultra-rapid EV charging hub. Good news eh?

@rhodesmjr Not entirely sure on that, but from part quantities expected, isolated is more likely.

@rhodesmjr Our top guy got an email reply today from MG - after sales. He says that they've got 40x MG4 CCUs due to arrive in UK on Valentine's Day. He's got a further 50 on order. They reckon that will be enough to sort the problem / but you’ll have to wait a bit longer.

@rhodesmjr Hi - from quick research on our admin group, FB MG4 group and MGEVs.com it appears there are a few of you. According to our dealer, there is a shortage of spares in the UK, so they have to come from China. There may be a shortage there too.

@MGmotor 11th on #ev best sellers list, but 2nd 👏🏻 with regard to proportion of their cars sold that are #ev at 37%, BMW are third with 27%. Tesla are only company at 100%. Any bets how long til BYD, Xpeng, Nio and others appear on the list? ⚡️🚙⚡️

The public still love private vehicle ownership, despite the growth of Uber in cities. Sales back to pre-pandemic levels. #ev sales ⬇️ a bit to 16% of the market, diesel now <4%. #FUD not having the desired effect. 2024 will see BYD, MG & Tesla go ⬆️⬆️⬆️. #stopburningstuff
