Villa’s embarrassingly poor display against Spurs will rightly anger Hammers and Forest fans. But in a similar scenario ahead of a Euro semi, all clubs would probably do the same.

I don’t blame Villa for resting players ahead of a must win European game. They’ve had a good season and earned the right to do it, not their problem if other teams haven’t. Think people are just annoyed it’s Spurs who have benefitted from it. Nobody would care if it was Fulham.

Villans and interested observers elsewhere, the platform is all yours. I believe that this group of players are exceptional ambassadors for the club, good humans and have given me a world of happiness the last 3 seasons. I also believe that in the 1% of matches that define a team, they lack character, personality, fortitude, and bottle. My evidence for this Olimpiacos, Palace, Forest and today. But it's your views I'm interested in.
