Pupils of Higher Spanish, Higher Italian and Higher German @mgsonline had a superb day watching the multilingual debate @HeriotWattUni @HW_LifeinLINCS 🇩🇪🇪🇦🇨🇵 It was interesting to hear the debate on AI and to see how interpreting worked. Well done to all involved! 👏 #HWU_MLD

S3 pupils had a great talk this morning from @scottishprisons about all of the careers available to them - everything from interpreters to architects! The speakers also shared lots of interesting information about skills and personal qualities they look for. A fantastic session👏

S2 had a great morning hearing from former MGS pupil, Sandy, about his career in Finance. He spoke about the jobs he has had, the countries he has worked in and gave pupils advice for the future. Very interesting that his biggest regret was not learning a language! #NoWrongPath

We also had a fantastic visit from a French school today. Pupils gave a tour of our school, got to know each other in French and English and even taught the French pupils some Scottish slang! The French school definitely left knowing all about the honest toun! 🇫🇷 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today we said farewell to our @GETacrossborder Hanna. We have absolutely loved having her work with us at MGS and pupils have learned so much about German culture from her. Bis später! 🇩🇪

We are so proud of our Senior Language Ambassadors showing true leadership skills over the last two weeks. They visited Stoneyhill and Loretto RC Primary doing the Euro Quiz 2023 with P7 pupils. Pupils created this themselves and have received such great feedback! 👏

Got a lovely Christmas card from a couple of girls in my S1 Spanish class that I help out every 7th period on a Monday such a lovely thing to do 😊🇪🇸 @MGS_ModernLangs @mgsonline @MissCoats_ML @MGSHT_JHannan
