Opinium and @CuriaUK polling shows that while protections for bats and newts might annoy roughly 1 in 7, a majority of the public currently support these environmental protections. In the same polling we found 30% even think these same protections do not go far enough.

Failed to get my Cal Newport inspired, Digital Minimalism walk without checking my phone or listening to a podcast today. But here's a picture from Saturday's (... does taking a picture count as a digital free walk?) Trying to make this a habit.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone else was responsible for defending our attention from companies?

If those numbers feel low, if you're certain you will bust them, then it might be time to add some digital friction. Uninstall apps, set limits, or leave your phone behind for a walk.
