@RITB_ @MHnursesday Agreed. Difficult to have credibility where there are still examples of poor care. It's not universal, but it's certainly not rare, and it is an embarassment to the reputation of the profession. It's a wicked problem with many interlinked factors. We can't hide from this.

@dan_warrender @MHnursesday The greatest problem with mh nursing is nurses abusiveness towards patients framed as PD and the use of PD as a lazy or reprisal label to give a veneer of respectability to neglect and contempt. MH nursing doesn't have credibility while it gives a home to overt hatred of patients

@RITB_ @dan_warrender Agreed. When so many in the profession are vocally challenging stigma, it's incongruous to have that stigma perpetuated by some in the profession. Perhaps a theme for next year - "challenging the stigma within"? #MHNursesDay
