Morning temperatures just below freezing have crews applying material on state routes and targeted county locations, including bridge decks, hills, stops and curves. With temperatures expected to climb near 50 degrees, conditions should improve quickly throughout the day.

Patchy freezing rain is possible overnight through Thursday morning. Temperatures will be marginal but if they drop to, or below, freezing then there is the potential for icing. The best chances for icing will be on bridges and overpasses. Roads may be slick so use caution

KCRC crews worked overnight clearing tree limbs and debris from Kent County roads following high winds. Crews will continue debris removal today under a High Wind Advisory. Mixed precipitation is expected through the day. Use caution and watch for large debris along commute.

Several rounds of storms expected tomorrow into early Saturday. Some of those storms could be strong to severe. One round Friday afternoon and evening, another overnight into Saturday. Damaging winds, and hail are the main threats though a few brief, weak tornadoes are possible.

KCRC continues storm clean-up today but primary focus in neighborhood areas will shift to Tuesday, when temperatures are expected to reach near 40 degrees. Waiting helps avoid filling driveways more than once and provides ideal conditions to scrape, remove remaining snow.

Icy spots persist this morning as freezing rain overnight transitioned to snow, tapering off this afternoon. Allow extra time and reduce speeds. Temps near 35° today fall to single digits overnight, with wind gusts up to 40 mph later today. Crews targeting one pass of network.

It’s Groundhog Day, and light snow might not be the sign anyone was hoping for. Snow totals should stay around ½ inch or less with temps reaching high 20s. Crews are treating roads with liquid deicer and salt/sand today. Watch for slick spots, reduce speeds when needed.

Thank you to motorists driving for conditions as extreme cold continues. With the wind chill, "feels like" temps dip below zero - temp hover in the teens. Snowfall is easing, with 1–2" possible locally. Slick areas and hard-packed snow remain. Allow extra time, give plows room.

Temps reach teens today, with lingering light snow possible, mainly west of US-131. Roads are generally stable. Low temps=patches "bare" pavement likely have thin layer of ice.
