Did anyone save that thread that had the list of components to add tarp motors to a swing hopper auger? #AgTwitter
English

@PetersenFarms @FarmrHuntr @jasonmauck1 Lance I understand your passion for this but you're delivery sucks quite frankly. Transitioning away from everything that has been drilled into your head from the first seed you put in the ground is a journey. I know it was for me. Instead maybe shares some tips.
English

@FarmrHuntr @jasonmauck1 I’d rather have my soil unnecessarily blowing, washing, and not capturing rainfall effectively if that means I can teach my children work ethic by operating a half mil worth of equipment on a heated seat and pressing the auto steer button at 12.3 mph.
English

@PetersenFarms @TheresAnFuture Have you looked into that study I believe Iowa State has been doing for a number of years where they have planted continuous corn with no nitrogen applications and monitor the nitrate levels in the tile lines? Find a way to apply a non reachable form of n during go time.
English

@MIKEWPF @TheresAnFuture When we get on the freeway we assume more personal risk with law enforcement if we would blow over .08, have the cruise set above 70, seat belt not clicked, and maybe even have expired tabs.
When it comes to N use, no worries on personal risk, give the taxpayer the bill.
English

@PetersenFarms @TheresAnFuture Manure will be a tough one for sure. Logistics are a B in the fall. Nobody wants to do spring cuz they've had bad experiences, speaking from experience. Find a way to de-water it and pelletize it maybe
English

@MIKEWPF @TheresAnFuture Manure applications could be looked at harder.
Having an actual rotation of crops would be great instead of the corn-soy flip flop, but nothing for a market and hard to beat MPCI guarantees with the 30” row crop lyfe.
English

@PetersenFarms @TheresAnFuture Agree with points 1&2. Could you clarify #3? So are you a proponent or opponent of drainage
English

@MIKEWPF @TheresAnFuture Healthier soils would be a good place to start.
Not applying N to unhealthy soils 8-9 months before the crop needs it would be good.
Storing nitrate laden waters on the parcels that are overloading the system would be a good practice compared to passing the harm downstream.
English

@PetersenFarms @TheresAnFuture So @PetersenFarms what is your solution to the the nitrogen problem? Sure there are stabilizers, split application; which most people around here do already. But how do you handle fixed nitrogen, organic nitrogen, huge volumes of water this is year.
English

@TheresAnFuture Because US Ag Policy says it’s fine.

@soilwarrior Welcome aboard Ted! Your first task will be to make the lids and ladder open/fold hydraulicly and also make the ladder come standard on the right side of the machine.
English

Welcome to the team Ted. We look forward to having you in the Engineering Department this summer!

@braunfarm Better poly twisters. Also, when it turns hot and dry in July, you will see the what full tillage in marginal conditions does. I usually say when the ramiest neighbor starts, I wait about 3 days. Not too far south of you.
English

@McblainFarms @soilwarrior Never broke one like that. How much pressure you running on the bags?
English

😡 Who builds better quality coulters than these ones from ETS? Love the machine but getting sick of replacing broken coulters. RT appreciated. #ontag #plant24 @soilwarrior

English

#Plant24 (1.0) is officially in the books. Earliest we've ever had both primary crops in the ground.

@Selcouth420 @ChuckGrassley The corn used for ethanol doesn't make corn flakes, Fritos, or tortillas. And actually after the process of making ethanol all of the feed value to animals is still there in a concentrated for of protein. Less trucking for the animal producers. All that was removed was starch
English

@braschen1 @ChuckGrassley @HouseGOP @SenateGOP Ethanol isn't subsidized. It's use is mandated. But if you want we can go back to using lead.
English

@ChuckGrassley No way it's another Govt give away too corn farmers and very energy inefficient. Stop all govt subsidies.
@HouseGOP ,@SenateGOP
English

@FoulkShay @TractorHouse Had a corn head listed with @TractorHouse for a month and it was non stop scammers. Literally multiple times a day.
English

First attempt to sell something on @TractorHouse and it ended up being a scam- fake check and all. Classic. I didn’t fall for it, but demoralizing none-the-less.

English

@PetersenFarms It was so windy here on Sunday even my strips were blowing!
