It’s warmer than the temps outside! I start every morning with a cold plunge in 43-degree water for several minutes. Here’s how I do it! Would you try this? #coldplunge #swimming #swim #pool

This week, former NBA start Jason Collins was diagnosed with an inoperable, aggressive, malignant brain tumor called a glioblastoma. Let’s discuss this type of brain tumor, including why it is inoperable, other treatment options and prognosis. **the images in this post are not those of Jason Collins** #braintumor #gbm #nba #neurosurgery #brainsurgery

What am I wishing for this Christmas? It might not be what you expect: 🎄Double rooms - this allowed us to treat patients more efficiently and reduces fatigue for the surgical team and staff. 🎄Effecient OR turnarounds - this also helps to reduce fatigue and stress on the surgical team. 🎄Salted and plowed roadways - we often leave very early to get to the hospital and it always helps to have clear roads for our commutes, so we can arrive safely and on time. 🎄Quiet call nights - a busy call schedule can add to the stress and fatigue already experienced during the busy season. 🎄 Happy patients - we want all of our patients to be happy and healthy this holiday season and always. What’s on your list this year? Let me know in the comments. #medicalhumor #medlife #healthcare #christmas #surgeon
