DOWNFALL is now available, and the Above the Black trilogy is complete! I first dreamed up the Skylands eleven years ago, and I hoped that one day I could turn it into a series. I cannot tell you how incredible it is knowing I am now an author of a trilogy.

Just learned SKY'S END is a nominee for the Connecticut 2027 Nutmeg Book Award!

We had end-of-year testing this week, and I told students to read their book report books once they finished. Several students were reading my books, and one even seemed to have finished two of them. He came in one day reading AMONG SERPENTS and the next day he was on DOWNFALL.

Arachnophobia is such a great movie!

Growing up, I wasn't a naturally gifted writer. I've told my students they're better writers at their age than I was. This shocks them. The beautiful thing about writing is that as long as you're continually challenging yourself, and reflecting on your work, you will get better.

I'm visiting a middle school's book club today. 😀

DOWNFALL book tour is now complete! So many great memories across Utah, Houston, Virginia, and Nevada. I will have more events this year including Indiana in June!

We've been introducing our girls to the Rocky movies and we just finished Rocky IV and when Apollo Creed died, our kids were ready to riot. They were so upset!

I am coming to the Indiana Comic Con June 5th through June 7th in Indianapolis!

Few feelings match the excitement of seeing a reader approach my signing line with a full hardcover set of my book trilogy. It makes me so happy!

My wife always manages to take a photo of me on my panels where I look like I'm about to throw my book at the audience 🤣

Book tours are super fun and also super exhausting! I took the day off work to recuperate and when I got home yesterday afternoon, I took a two hour nap!

A favorite memory from the book tour was after I ran out of DOWNFALL pins to give readers, I pulled the last one off my collar and gave it to the next person in my line. Her eyes lit up, I signed her book, and she whispered, "You're my favorite author" before hurrying away. 😀
