@Eimear_McManus Make it fun with no pressure on scores. Mixed scramble events are great for getting beginner ladies into the game. Mixed foursomes too but maybe a bit more pressure in those.

@kevinmarkham @RandA Done a lot of study myself on golf courses in Ireland when making out my county maps and my numbers are roughly same as yours Kevin. I think RandA are only treating 18 hole courses as golf courses?

I’m interested to know where your numbers come from @RandA There are roughly 340 18-hole courses and about 80 9-hole courses in Ireland. I’m being picky I know but this is very much my thing. Thanks for highlighting the big events we’re hosting. A big year

@TheSocialHackR @golfrulesguy Happened me once before too. Played my ball and there was an embedded ball directly below the surface which popped up as I hit mine. Thankfully not in a comp but interesting to see what the ruling is.

@TheSocialHackR @MJGolfGuides Think the 65 was poss still being made too but I think this one looks older. Plus it looks like a British ball 1.62 rather than 1.68. Can’t recall when we adopted the American ball too but was around 84 ish I think

@DonnyGolfGirl I couldn’t get a beer because I didn’t have a passport with me, even though I had three other forms of ID on me. Went to a shooting range the next day and got a Glock 18 and an M16 and wasn’t asked for anything. 🤔

Strange thing happened today….Neil and I got ID’d for alcohol 🤣🤣 in Walgreens! We couldn’t buy it as I didn’t have mine on me, I’m taking that I’ve not been ID’d for about 30 years 😜😜

@KinsaleGolfClub Loved the old Ringenane course, played it a good few times in Country Clubs matches. Shame it closed down, likewise with Dunmore. Saying that I also really enjoy the Farrangalway course. Played it last year and will no doubt be back there this year again.

On this Friday night 30 years ago, an EGM was held and 186 members crammed into the small clubhouse in Ringenane gave unanimous approval to purchase 114 acres at Farrangalway/ Mellifontstown for the purpose of building an 18 hole golf course.
