@GraemeBandeira You could see they’d drilled themselves for this game. Ignored the gaps in the full back positions they leave and just pressed us high relentlessly instead; but stood off when we got between midfield and defence. Battled or fouled every second ball too. I hate Coventry! 😅

Was quietly confident tonight of winning much like we did at Sheffield United. A clash of styles. Brawn over brains won tonight. They pressed us hard in key areas and we couldn’t get any rhythm. Our play was hurried and sloppy although at times we did create good opportunities.

Whoever said “money can’t buy happiness” really knew what they were talking about 😔

Pathetic performance from start to finish (again). Teams have figured us out, Hellberg and the players have no solutions. Play-offs at best. I’ve tried to excuse him but Conway belongs in the same bucket as Burgzorg, Hamilton, Nypan for me, simply not good enough.

Middlesbrough Football Club have, subject to the completion of an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, given head coach Rob Edwards permission to speak to Wolves. We initially rejected an approach from Wolves on the basis that Rob signed a three-year contract with MFC less than six months ago. Following discussions with Rob we were disappointed to learn that he wanted to speak with Wolves regarding their head coach vacancy. We have now agreed terms with Wolves, subject to completion of the relevant paperwork. First team coaches Adi Viveash and Harry Watling, and Academy manager Craig Liddle, will take charge of team affairs for Saturday’s game against Birmingham City at the Riverside.
