I've said it for a while, we always start to come undone when our midfielders aren't brave enough to take the ball on the half turn from our centre halves. It forces the centre halves to try and make play or unintentionally slow things down, or we end up going backwards and Butland has to launch it long (then we all moan about his distribution). And you can usually tell where we are with this within the first 15 mins of games. Raskin and Chukwuani on Saturday and the exact same first half Vs Falkirk, centre halves with too much of the ball and we get pushed back. Connor Barron is my first pick in midfield for this very reason and I hope he's back in for Tynecastle. A proper no6 with passing range for next season should be the first order of transfer business in the summer.

Finding it difficult to criticise Danny Rohl for today. What can a manager do when the players create this many chances and don’t take them? He deserves criticism for the performances away to Hibernian and Motherwell but this one isn’t on him.
