I’m looking for a study where someone has looked at accuracy on Raven’s matrices (or similar) items under extreme time pressure at the item level (not time pressure at the test level). I can’t find anything, but surely this study must exist?

@primarythink @Janroweljmu @greeborunner @tombennett71 Anyone who criticizes a statistically significant finding because the sample is too small doesn't understand the logic of null hypothesis significance testing. The issue is whether the sample is representative, and if so, representative of what?

Small sample, but this is indicatively damning. You would *hope* that staff in an education college would know the most about pedagogy, but in this instance they knew the *least*. I think that the last ten years has seen an explosion in evidence-literate academics taking their rightful place in the foreground of this discussion, but it’s still not the norm. It should be the default, not whatever this carnage is.

University education colleges have the weakest pedagogical knowledge 🫩 You can’t make this up. 🤦‍♂️😓 (highest standard deviation though, implying there is some hope that there are some well-informed professors well placed to lead change)
