No Man's Sky Xeno Arena has some engine improvements targeted at the whole game - the patch notes detail tiled lighting enabled for the first time on PC, which is huge - but the same optimisations also apply to consoles, where this cross platform/improved lighting system removes previous limitations and gives increased performance when rendering hundreds of lights. The second focus in this patch was Switch 2 performance, with a more advanced occlusion system that gives a double digit performance increase on planet or with complex bases.
