Yearly review of Persikas.com from the product side 🎉 🚀
- Onboarded more than 25,000 users to our app in Lithuania.
- Remained the #1 Health & Fitness app in Lithuania on both the App Store and Google Play.
- Added many new features based on user requests.
- Implemented agentic features and made nearly all API endpoints available to AI for plan modifications.
- Kept the tech team the same size.
- No full-time developers were fired or left the team 🙏.
- Made the app multilingual: English, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian.
- Fixed hundreds of bugs.
- Conducted around 50 live user calls to guide the product roadmap.
- Achieved 99.98% uptime (t3.small instance carried the entire product).
- All bugs and errors are reported, monitored, and investigated almost instantly across three Slack channels.
Another challenging year for Persikas. We focused on UX improvements and reliability, added extensive monitoring throughout the app and servers to prevent crashes from avoidable mistakes, and finally rewrote the app for multilingual support by year-end. This positions us to enter 2026 ready to expand across Europe.
I’m truly proud of every dev team member for their dedication, commitment, and extra effort - even on weekends - to build an app we can all be proud of! 🫡

2 cores and 2 GB of RAM ran the majority of our backend at Persikas.com.
Over €1M generated and 35k users served on a single instance with an average of 99.91% uptime.
You can go quite far with a t3.small instance in AWS, as long as you keep your code clean and optimized both in the back and front ends!
Today, I shut it down and replaced it with a new monolith instance 8x larger for better scale and reliability.
