Finish the season with a 4 point weekend, decent effort tonight with key players out Some of our performances this year make me wonder what could have been, but was not to be. Play offs won’t be easy, I just hope we turn up, anything can happen if we do

So that's a wrap on the 25/26 League campaign. A spirited fight back from the Lightning with a couple of late goals, secured the win in Solway. Huge thanks, as always, to the travelling MK fans for their tremendous support 👏 We'll see you back at home next weekend as we look to defend our Play Off Championship title. He’s been a welcome addition to the team and I hope he continues under Pete. Imagine it’ll be more of the same in Solway, probably with a thinner roster too with Harry not icing and Norris missing the third. Just hope we aren’t undercooked come next weekend

Am I being hyper critical that a real dead rubber produced quite a low key game? Probably. I guess I was hoping we’d try to lay a bit of a marker down and hit the play offs on a high, especially as last weekend was fairly underwhelming. High point seeing Thomas get his firs goal

Lightning made the most of the full 60 mins waiting until the 58th minute to finally take the lead. It ends MKL 4-3 Romford. How noisy was that at the end! Well done lads and safe travels home everyone.

A familiar and highly respected figure in British ice hockey, Pete previously led the Lightning during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history (2015–2018), delivering Cup and Playoff success. Since then, Pete has gained extensive experience coaching in Germany and internationally with Great Britain, helping lead the national team through a historic era at the IIHF World Championships. Now he returns to Milton Keynes with renewed experience and ambition as we look ahead to the 2026/27 season. Not quite there, bit of an understatement that. Same issues rearing their head, crap on the road again. 40 PIMs, 30 to our 2 import D-men 🤦‍♂️ Potty only had 5 D-men tonight too, 1 a forward, yet you wouldn’t know it. Poor showing that

It ends on the road Peterborough Phantoms 8-3 MKL. With playoffs already secured, the form and discipline were not quite there tonight as we faced a team with their top line running hot. The aim now will be to build up to the playoffs with the right mindset and preparation. Thanks to all the travelling fans who braved the cold in Peterborough, and safe travels home everyone.

Not at the races, simple as that. Kelly’s fight seemed to wake us up, but Bisons time out killed our momentum and put them on the front foot. Still had chances, but they got the bounces to win it. Got to be better in Potty tomorrow

Tough luck in overtime as it ends MKL 4-5 Basingstoke Bison. A game which took a long time to get going and then became fairly tetchy, Bison nicked it on an OT Powerplay. Safe travels home everyone.
