Titanic is a film that you spend the first 2.75 hours getting to know the main characters, seeing them walk around the ship, run into actual historical figures, so when the disaster happens you actually care what happens to other characters and people. 90 minutes of Pear Harbor is spent with a fucking love triangle between characters who aren't even in the harbor when the attack happens. The difference between these two films is that in one, I almost forget there's a disaster coming and in the other I'm praying for the Japanese planes to show up. I love the excuse of "Well your attention span sucks..." when in theory I should have gotten far more bored in the first film since it takes so long to get to the "good part." or the whole "Americans don't have good attention spans" instead of the self admitted reasons I didn't enjoy the film in question.
