@PaulHudrick Disagree, I think it’s a coach riding his players too long. PG couldn’t make a shot and didn’t react. He put Drummond and Bona in before Barlow after last game? It doesn’t make sense.

This series is a prime example of the Sixers' lack of depth. They have five-ish playable guys while the Knicks have both stars and multiple bench contributors. The Celtics series took so much out of this group. Knicks have been plain better.

@KyleNeubeck Pat Croce not getting more power in the franchise set Iverson back in my personal opinion. Pat Croce seemed to get through to him as an outsider looking in. But that’s what always happens in the Sixers. Feel the same with Embiid. Sam Hinkie getting pushed out was same for Embiid

Using Iverson to pick at Embiid always kills me because they are *remarkably* similar —Tremendous talents who play a singular style that the whole team has to adapt to, for better and worse, which made finding the right co-star difficult —Persistent questions about how off-court habits impacted them and their teams —Both habitually played through injuries —Both a little too honest for their own good AI is the reason I got into basketball and the 01 run is a real separator. But he was hugely divisive for most of his career (the more insidious culture war stuff aside), and one day years from now a lot of people will go through the same reevaluation with Embiid that they did with Iverson

@MarcFarzetta I feel like we have Mr. Glass as our superstar. Can’t stay healthy, brittle bones, unlucky, and out of shape. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ If you want descriptors: sad, depressing, maddening, and a joke not to me but to the team no urgency from top down. Brass included. Don’t rest your whole team. Yup!

Anyone find UConn coach Dan Hurley super annoying. It’s like the end of the world every time anything happens. He ran on the court on a timeout and looked like a crazy person yelling at the ref but since he does it all the time they don’t do anything about it.

@PaulHudrick They need an aggressive Maxey. He comes down dumps the ball off and then lets the offense go through others. He needs to learn that even if you are 0-8 you need to keep pushing and putting pressure on other teams. Don’t become passive.

The Sixers have to figure out how to be better without Joel Embiid. You don't have to win every game he's out, but they've been uncompetitive for the vast majority of the games Embiid has missed.

Well, the news is going to get out somehow, so might as well say it here... I was part of the layoffs today at The Athletic. The news came as a surprise and I'm still processing it, but coming close to six full years there, I'd like to think it was a pretty good run.

@BobCooney76 @Pat_Egan I would let Harden walk and resign DeAnthony Melton. Start him and let Maxey run the offense. Your defense gets way better. Focus your offense around Embiid, Maxey and Harris.

Not that @wojespn needs it, but can confirm the Sixers are hiring Nick Nurse as the team’s next head coach. Curious to see what the rest of the offseason looks like, but it seems like they got a damn good coach.

@PaulHudrick With Harden being so ball dominant. Maxey is better off running the second unit. He literally stands at the 3 point line and waits for Harden to dribble for 10 seconds. They are wasting his talent. He bailed them out at least 3 times with last second three pointers @ the jazz.

With everyone healthy, Doc is starting Melton over Maxey. I’m not sure it’s the right move. We’ll see.

@PaulHudrick Tucker has looked terrible other then his setting of picks for corner three’s. He isn’t fighting for rebounds or boxing anyone out and is slow on defense. I would rather have them go small with both shake and deanthony on the floor.

Second-half adjustment I’d make is switching Harris and Tucker’s defensive assignments.
