Knew it was a big ask to start a poetry unit right before break (especially after my English 11 students crushed the Writing WorkKeys last week), but my students did AMAZING today!

When @AtomicMsH forces you to make your Othello review more interactive and it's not only effective but just as fun as ever!

I got to dress up as a Disney character today AND annotate Othello?! 3 of my favorite things! Happy Halloween!

Love this writing workshop with color-coded feedback from peers.

After engaging in a Pear Deck review of theme, students were given choices how they wanted to review lit terms during "arts and crafts," while I worked with small groups based on our pre-assessment data. Fun way to wrap up the week and head into a 4 day weekend! #IBLit

English teachers should have an additional prep period for reading and providing feedback on student writing. It takes over 8 hours for a writing teacher with 100 students to read and respond to a typical set of essays - and that's assuming only 5 minutes per essay. #bfc530

I have given feedback on over 400 practice WorkKeys responses in the last month. I hope it pays off for my students today!
