That’s two more cyclists just now who went through a four way stop when I was there first in the car. I actually pulled up to one of them to remind him about the rules. He looked me like I had two heads.

@mchkzn @matthewjones_mj Actually, can’t turn left from Hawthorn onto Colonel By. Have to drive down busy Main to residential Clegg to get onto Colonel By. No reason not to allow left onto C By from N end of Main, except NCC doesn’t want pkway to be thoroughfare, but ok from Clegg or Daly… Hmmmm!

@matthewjones_mj I guess, if you’re new to the area, it could be a problem. Otherwise, you do have the option to take Greenfield or Hawthorne.

I just rode by bicycle from my home near Billings Bridge to the Fringe. I need to rant and I’m not sparing anyone, regardless of mode of transport. 1/

@mchkzn St. Laurent owners should build an apartment building where the Sears parking tower is, or in the vast parking lot there. Then get a grocery store in the mall. It would be a ready-made 15 min hood. @ottawacity should be encouraging this type of dev. Already so on Merivale Rd.

Two more blows coming to St Laurent. The LCBO is moving to the plaza with Food Basics at St Laurent and Cyrville. The Italian suit store in centre court is closing. They’ve been here since the 90s, including the same 2-3 full time staff, who are often seen around the mall.

Queen Elizabeth Drive closed daily to motor vehicles. So my next event is downtown. Decision. Do I go up Elgin? Or I’m thinking of going Main, Greenfield, and then through the Ottawa U campus. 🤔

@MikeHudema Unfortunately, many countries still dump garbage straight into the ocean! Was at beautiful beach in Morocco and had to jump over all the garbage, plastic & sanitary products that the ppl would just drop in the water. Used it as garbage can. No respect. Need to educate all.
