Trying to decide what is the best hangover food? There could probably be a class at Harvard around this topic. I could go so many different ways right now. Chipotle is my usual.

@EneaDenkt @BitStrategy21 While this income strategy has worked over the last year or so, ie when it became popular to monetize the volatility, what happens when volatility goes exponential during a bull market? These income strategies get taken to the cleaners and go bust? It works until it doesn’t.

Good Morning Treasurers, I'm considering launching a BTCTC Treasury company (like @BitStrategy21) - where you effectively stack BTC treasuries shares, run options strategies for income and re-investment and use intelligent leverage to scale your stack. I figured this is much more more accessible, flexible and tax efficient for a EU private company than stacking BTC. If you are interested I'd like to connect! Comment below and I'll get in touch.

@hillery_dan Depends on which part of the cycle? Over time I agree. But Less liquid and smaller mkt cap companies often outperform in bull markets because it’s easier to outperform. Less capital required and usually higher short metrics (higher DTC, higher Utlilization rate, etc) - squeeze it

Dinner at San Morrello in Detroit tonight, in the Shinola Hotel. Had a starter and pizza. Asparagus ‘carbonara’ pecorino cremosa, guanciale, black pepper The “OG” (Wood-fired) pepperoni, ‘nduja, fresno chili Both well paired with the 2021 Domaine Leflaive Macon-Verzé ‘Le Monte,’ especially the pizza which has a lot of spice. Lower end Riedel glasses, but still, totally workable. Wine list small but some decent selections, all appeared about 3x retail. Food, service and ambiance really nice. The table next to me FaceTiming my entire meal and yelling into the phone… not so much. And the pregnant pause of 25-minute between my first course and entree maybe a bit much. Still, overall, enjoyed and would go back. I also give high marks for the Muscos they played, Depeche Mode heavy… both dishes were very solid, and I’d have again, pizza just a little under cooked and doughy, but still great flavor, asparagus 10/10

Along with Or’Esh, Ambassador’s Clubhouse are the top two new openings in NYC I am most excited about. AC is the NYC outpost from JKS Restaurants, which also includes in their portfolio the amazing 2 Michelin Star Gymkhana from London, and now in Las Vegas as well. AC’s kitchen is helmed by Chef Karan Mittal, Karan was kind enough to help me in advance of dinner with menu recommendations for my visit. Doors open at 5pm and had a good crowd outside by then. The restaurant decore itself is grand in a very polished Colonial Indian way. High end yet comfortable. Discussed with the Somm and both agreed either a Spatlese Riesling or White Burgundy based on the menu Chef Karan and I planned, and opted for the later, the 2023 J. L. & F. Chavy Folatieres Puligny-Monitrachet which worked well across all dishes. Our selections Beetroot Raj Kachori Chaat
Semolina Puff, Tandoori Beets, Lentil Sprouts, Masala Yogurt, Tamarind Chili Cheese Pakode
Hudson Valley Cheddar & Green Chili Croquettes, Tamatar Chutney Wagyu Beef Keema Naan
Mishima Reserve Beef, Bone Marrow & Caramelized Onion Masala Shrimp Nargisi kofta Original BBQ Butter Chicken Chops
Crystal Valley Chicken Thighs, Cashew Nut & Ghee Masala, Cilantro Kotkapura Royal Atta Chicken Palmetto Farms Stuffed Poussin, Saffron & Egg Pilau, Butter Naan Masaledar Lamb Biryani
Braised Lamb Shank, Saffron, Caramelized Carrots, Sultanas, Almond Nibs Banana, Peanut & Dark Chocolate Kheer Basmati Rice Pudding, Banana Ice Cream, Caramelized Peanut & Popcorn Citrus Fruit & Frozen Lassi Chaat
Nounó Yogurt Ice Cream, Grapefruit Murrabba, Pistachio Chikki Every dish was a 10/10 for flavor and visual, all served expertly by a friendly and well informed staff. There isn’t one dish we had that I wouldn’t wholeheartedly recommend. If I was forced to pick my two favorites, they’d be the Shrimp Nargisi kofta, which is reminiscent of a perfect scotch egg, and the Banana, Peanut & Dark Chocolate Kheer which h is now in my very few top desserts in NYC. It’s clear to me that AC and Chef Karan will receive a Michelin Star very soon. I rated 9.9 on Beli, putting it in my Top 4 restaurants in NYC, and on par with Gymkhana London. The food is super flavorful, without being overly heavy and laden with Ghee and Cream, my recommendation is go with a group, and share as many of the amazing dishes as possible. While we enjoyed the white burgundy, AC does have a fantastic list of creative cocktails, with and without Alcohol.

@willywoo So a deeper bear following a weaker bull? Seems unlikely with network effects increasing. Like you said, with only a few data points it’s hard to extrapolate a path with high probability. Previous cycles didn’t have billions of dollars of support by TC prefs & insto demand.

Finally, IMO there's a very good chance we get a deeper bear due to a breakdown of the secular bull market in global macro.

Old school onchain models suggest a BTC bottom between 46k-54k. Also hints at how much time we have to wait. Orange line correlates to the capital stored in BTC and it has been leaving since November. CVDD Floor Model has the advantage of climbing over time, 45.5k right now.

@JC_ParetsX Unfortunately, I’ll be arriving stateside from HK in late May so will miss it. Interested to check out the NYC wine scene though - moving back after 7 years trading at a HF in HK. And will launch a wine platform upon arrival 🚀🍷

I'm going to make some obvious points. (1) Blowing up all the oil infrastructure in the Middle East is an insane idea, and may well result in a global economic crash and humanitarian crisis unrivaled in the lives of those now living. We're talking about the price of everything everywhere rising, from food to gas, at a moment when inflation was already high. All of that will be laid at the feet of the authors of this war. (2) The antebellum status quo of Feb 27, 2026 was just not that bad, but we're unlikely to return to it. Expect indefinite, long-term, ongoing disruptions to everything out of the Middle East. (3) Also assume tech financing crashes for the indefinite future. The genius plan to get the Gulf states caught in the crossfire has incinerated much of the funding for LPs, for datacenters, and for IPOs. Anyone in tech who supported this war may soon learn the meaning of "force majeure" as funding gets yanked. (4) Many capital allocators will instead be allocating much further down Maslow's hierarchy of needs, towards useful basic things like food and energy. (5) It's fortunate that all those progressives yelled about the "climate crisis." Yes, their reasoning about timelines was wrong, and much of the money was wasted in graft, but the result was right: we all need energy independence from the Middle East, pronto. It's also fortunate that Elon and China autistically took climate seriously. Now they're going to need to ship a billion solar panels, electric vehicles, batteries, nuclear power plants, and the like to get everyone off oil, immediately. (6) It's not just an oil and gas problem, of course. It's also a fertilizer problem, and a chemical precursor problem. Maybe some new sources will come online at the new prices, but it takes time to dial stuff up, particularly at this scale, so shortages are almost a certainty. That said, China has actually scaled up coal-to-chemicals[a,c] (C2C), and there's also something more sci-fi called Power-to-X[b] which turns arbitrary power + water + air into hydrocarbons. But all of that will need to get accelerated. I have a background in chemical engineering so may start funding things in this area. (7) Ultimately, this war is going to result in tremendous blame for anyone associated with it. It's a no-win scenario to blow up this much infrastructure for so many people. Simply not worth it for whatever objective they thought they were going to attain. But unless you're actually in a position to stop the madness, the pragmatic thing to do is: scramble to mitigate the fallout to yourself, your business, and your people.
