Last week we were so excited to welcome @MLedek class into our classroom to view our Freaky Frog books from our end of unit performance task @ELeducation! The kids worked so hard on each individual writing piece and compiling it into an eye-catching book for others to enjoy💜

While heavy rain made an appearance, the Apex community showed up to gather to honor Patriots Day at the Downtown Service Memorial. No matter the circumstances, we will always remember 9/11. Thank you American Legion Post 124, Apex NC for ensuring this event takes place. 🇺🇸

Today, in honor of the events that occurred on September 11,2001 2nd grade talked about what it means to be kind and brave. After our conversation we wrote thank you notes to the local hero’s in our community. These kiddos make me so proud.❤️@WhiteOakElem #NeverForget911
