Jesus’ mother Mary lived off course around Jesus birth in the beginning of the calendar year. This is a clear historical mistake, because Muhammad likely mixed up Jewish and Christian stories he heard. Islamic apologists say “sister of Aaron” means “from Aaron’s lineage” or “pious woman,” but that’s an excuse, the Quranic language directly says “sister.” Also Mary’s father is called “Imran” (Quran 3:35, 66:12), which matches the Bible’s Amram (father of Moses and Aaron). This proves that Muhammad thought Miriam and Mary were the same.
