Over 50 children from across our primary schools are proudly taking part in our annual Dance Festival today. We are so grateful to Shrewsbury School for hosting us at their wonderful facilities and providing such an inspiring setting for our young performers.

It was great to welcome the The Marches Academy Trust to Shrewsbury today to host their Primary Swimming Gala. At Shrewsbury, we are proud to work in partnership with local schools and trusts to broaden opportunities and enrich experiences for young people across Shropshire.

Year 6 have enjoyed their Bikeability sessions this week, learning essential cycling skills for "real" roads, such as starting/stopping, understanding road signs and signals, passing parked cars, and negotiating quiet junctions. 🚲 #MMAT

Yesterday saw our first Trust Primary PE Development Day take place at Trust Central. We were delighted to welcome @KLTB26, Catherine from @Complete_PE, Henry Broadhurst who delivered a session on padel, and Sam Ostermeyer from @EnergizeSTW.

Our annual Trust Primary Swimming Gala took place at the Shrewsbury School today. Fantastic to use these facilities and create sporting opportunities for our young people.  Congratulations to Lower Heath on winning this years event.

Yesterday morning saw the start of our Trust Primary Varsity competitions at @ShrewsburySch. Fantastic to see so many children taking part! Congratulations to Oakmeadow on winning the event. #MMAT

Earlier this week, we welcomed ECTs to Grange Primary School to take part in physical education CPD workshops. #MMAT

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that Cockshutt CE Primary School and Criftins CE Primary School have both chosen to join The Marches Academy Trust!

Well done to our KS2 Rounders team who came 2nd in The Marches Primary School Varsity Tournament. It was lovely to see some new children participating in this event and showing off their skills. We would like to say congratulations to Oakmeadow and who were crowned the winners.

What a great day some of our Year 3 and 4 children had at the Majesticks Golf tournament yesterday. They enjoyed meeting professional golfers, Ian Poulter and Sam Horsfield. All children participated in a golf carousel and were lucky enough to have some 1-1 coaching.

🎉 We’re delighted to share some exciting news! 🎉 On 1st June 2025, Selattyn CE Primary School officially joined the Marches Academy Trust, marking a fantastic new chapter for education across Shropshire.

This week we welcomed Winston Powell, U18 English champion from 2023, for our athlete visit. Pupils were in awe at his strength and skill and many aspiring gymnasts went home ready to learn more skills. A great opportunity to learn about resilience and striving for excellence. 🤸

Quinn in Year 2 has been attending Tiny Tigers football since Christmas and is very proud of himself after being awarded a medal and a trophy for most attended sessions. We are all extremely proud of him too! ⚽️ 🏆 #MMAT
