Great work Tia! This essay shows that the solutions—the laws, the policies, the ideas—are there, but it is challenging to get them passed and implemented. This is true around the world and a key reason a new OP-CEDAW can be effective.

Until the world, including feminists and their organisations become equally enraged about the daily and systematic killing of Palestinian women in Gaza as they do about violence against women anywhere there will be no hope - neither for equality nor for humanity. As for those that are continuing with their arms export and support to Israel, whether you are a State, a business or an individual in power, enabling this to happen day in day out, and you know who you are, history will remember the blood you have on your hands and that cannot be washed away.
