My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. This is not just an accident, but a serious case of negligence. I strongly demand the government to provide the highest possible compensation to the victim’s family and ensure strict action against those responsible. Accountability must be fixed so that such incidents are never repeated.

BKC’s Next Leap: ₹580+ Crore Push for Healthcare & Education Infra The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has allotted key land parcels in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) for the development of healthcare and education facilities, with a combined investment of over ₹580 crore. Major Healthcare Boost A 10,026.44 sq. m. (2.5-acre) plot in BKC’s G-Text block has been allotted to Jupiter Lifeline Hospitals through a transparent bidding process. With a permissible built-up area (BUA) of 20,052.88 sq. m., the bid, accepted at ₹1,76,533 per sq. m., is valued at approximately ₹354 crore. The project will deliver a multi-speciality hospital, bringing advanced, integrated healthcare under one roof. New Education Hub A 5,117.85 sq. m. plot in the same block has been allotted to D. Y. Patil Education Group for the development of an international-standard education centre, bringing high-quality education closer to the city’s core. With a permissible BUA of 10,235.70 sq. m., the bid, accepted at ₹2,19,819 per sq. m., is valued at approximately ₹225 crore. Allotment & Process On Wednesday, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and MMRDA Chairman Eknath Shinde handed over the allotment letters to Ajay Thakkar of Jupiter Lifeline Hospitals and Dr. Vijay Patil of D. Y. Patil University. MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Principal Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister Naveen Sona, and Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) Aseem Gupta were present. Both allotments were finalised through a transparent bidding process, with the allottees emerging as the highest bidders. The Big Shift These developments strengthen Mumbai’s social infrastructure and reinforce BKC’s emergence as an inclusive, self-sustained urban ecosystem. Mumbai Metro Line 2B crosses the Harbour Line. ✔️ In a major overnight exercise, MMRDA engineers successfully lifted a 42-metre, 178 MT steel span, comprising two composite steel girders, using two 500 MT cranes, across the Central Railway corridor between Kurla and Tilak Nagar. ✔️ A precision operation, executed within the block time granted by Railway authorities, under utmost safety and quality standards. This milestone is a testament to meticulous planning, teamwork, and seamless coordination between MMRDA, Central Railway, and other agencies. A big thank you to everyone involved. One more crossing.
