This is an important piece of advice to ALL AFRICANS with bank accounts in Europe or America. I have spoken to just too many Africans that have shared their bad, frustrating and disappointing experiences with African banks. DON’T ever make the mistake of closing your European or American based bank accounts when got move back home. Banking in Africa is generally still backward, and the restrictions are too many for your mental health. It is even worse in African countries that have been grey listed. My advice is ONLY move what you need to use immediately in Africa, and keep the rest of your money offshore. In Britain you can move £20,000 to another country on your phone, in Africa you need to explain the movement of US$200 for your grandchild’s present who is in another country. I am going to do a thread sharing my experiences with African banks and why this advice is important for the ordinary persons who have no name recognition. Until African banks change, Africans will continue keep their wealth abroad unless they are connected back home.

We have a problem with potholes on our roads due to incessant rains in the context of poor drainage systems. For the avoidance of doubt, it is the responsibility of Urban Councils to maintain roads under their respective jurisdictions. They shouldn’t abdicate from it.
