MNPS Career & Technical Education (CTE)

MNPS students can earn a certification in Hootsuite Platform or Hootsuite Social Marketing. Students learn about publishing content, engaging with followers and prospects, and running social media campaigns and contests.

The Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation & Management Certification verifies students have the knowledge & skills in ecological principles and wildlife management, including habitat, forest, grasslands, wetlands & waterfowl. MNPS students can earn this while still in high school!

MNPS students can earn a certification in Snap-On Multimeter, which includes using the same digital multimeters used by professionals in the workplace. Or they can earn Snap-On Precision Measuring, which includes the use of precision measurement instruments.

The Center for Financial Responsibility Personal Financial Literacy Certification helps MNPS students feel qualified and prepared to make informed financial choices, perform better in the workplace & achieve long-term financial success, no matter what job they choose.

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) industry certification measures a student’s knowledge and skills so they can become a certified clinical medical assistant. The CCMA certification is the certification many MAs choose when they plan to work in a clinical setting.

Why should students earn an industry credential while they're still in high school? SO many reasons! An IC proves that the student has a certain level of skill and knowledge attainment.

The CareerSafe Employability Skills Certification covers essential skills to prepare students for the workforce, giving students a competitive edge in the job market. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

The Southwest Airlines Professional Communications Certification verifies students possess the soft skills necessary to thrive in any workplace environment. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

ServSafe certifications train students in safety, food handling, foodborne illnesses & their prevention. Food safety education is a priority to reduce foodborne illness outbreaks. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

The Education Fundamentals Certification prepares students for futures in a broad range of settings, such as secondary & post-secondary education, & community-based education programs. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

An Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification provides evidence of proficiency in Autodesk software, & can effectively start students’ careers as designers, engineers, and makers.  MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

Dual credit provides an opportunity for students to earn college credit/hours while enrolled in high school. All MNPS students in aligned and approved courses are eligible to sign up for dual credit. #EPSO

An OSHA 10 certification leads to students contributing to a safe on-the-job environment. Future employees of almost every industry can benefit from OSHA compliance training. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

The Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications IC verifies the skills and knowledge needed to work within the veterinary science field & is transferable to health & animal science fields. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

A Microsoft Office Specialist certification validates skills through live-in-the-app exams. Students can prepare for & earn the certification in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, or Outlook. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this while still in high school! #EPSO

What is an "IC"? Industry-recognized credentials are typically non-degree credentials that have value within an industry sector. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn one or more credentials while still in high school! #EPSO

An Adobe Certified Professional certification validates proficiency in Creative Cloud software through live-in-the-app exams. MNPS students have the opportunity to earn this credential while still in high school! #EPSO

Early postsecondary opportunities (EPSOs) include a course and/or exam that give students a chance to obtain postsecondary credit while still in high school. In MNPS, students can take advantage of many different types of EPSOs offered at their schools.
