@freda646 @BrianSuttererMD @stevemagness These are literally people who were raised as women, look like women, but then are found through genetic testing as part of Olympic competition to be intersex or to have different genetic markers. They have no idea. You’re illiterate, cruel, and a zealot.

@MN_Ament @BrianSuttererMD @stevemagness Removing men from women's sport is going to make a lot of women and girls very happy indeed. As for the men removed, they knew what they were doing. Stealing medals, prizes and scholarships. In a word -> cheating.

I don’t think the sports world is ready for how many unexpected positive tests they are going to find if every athlete is tested. Especially anxious to see how this plays out in sports like women’s basketball, where genetic gender testing isn’t done If they are truly going to do genetic testing on every female athlete, guaranteed there will be unexpected positives that will have a major life impact in the athlete who may have had no idea.

@freda646 @BrianSuttererMD @stevemagness Try re-reading what I wrote. You argued that an individual being banned would bring them relief and satisfaction. I simply said that it would be heartbreaking for them. Didn’t make an argument one way or the other about allowing or not allowing them to compete.

@BrianSuttererMD @stevemagness Why would the discovery of athletes competing in the wrong sex category "rock" the sports world? Surely it should bring relief and satisfaction both to the players in that sport and to the individual involved to know the truth.

@hilltowntrader @Samson09724274 @PattyMurray You aren’t being logical, you’re just scared. You shouldn’t be afraid of your own government killing you while exercising your 1A right to film/observe government agents while exercising your 2A permit right to legally carry a firearm. Carrying extra rounds doesn’t mean anything

@MN_Ament @Samson09724274 @PattyMurray I support logic. I own guns, but I don't take them into a riot and intentionally confront law enforcement. That is just suicidal. And why the two extra magazines, unless he intended to shot a LOT of people.

@hilltowntrader @Samson09724274 @PattyMurray They had no basis to shoot. He did not raise a gun at them. He was pinned, on the ground. This isn't Judge Dredd. There are laws here governing when they can use deadly force. Mere possession of a gun is not a reason to get shot by cops.

@hilltowntrader @Samson09724274 @PattyMurray He didn’t raise a gun at them. They had disarmed him and he was on the ground. And then they shot him when he was under their control. You don’t get to kill somebody just because they push you that’s not how self defense works at all.

@hilltowntrader @Samson09724274 @PattyMurray If he was going to do a mass shooting, you’d think he would have done it prior to being surrounded by 10 agents. Also, did not draw weapon, no imminent threat. He deserves to be executed for having 2 extra mags?

@Samson09724274 @PattyMurray While carrying a gun into a volatile situation is unwise, carrying two extra magazines might lead one to think that the vigilante was planning a mass shooting. Why the extra magazines?

Our dog was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer on Monday. There’s not much we can do besides keep him comfortable, so I’ve been letting him go wherever he wants on walks this week. Tonight he led us straight to his vet’s office.

🚨 URGENT: SANTA MONICA’S BELOVED BERGAMOT STATION ARTS CENTER IS BEING DEMOLISHED FOR APARTMENTS & PARKING GARAGES! OUR TAXPAYER-OWNED CULTURAL GEM IS UNDER ATTACK! 🚨 Bergamot Station Arts Center—our vibrant, taxpayer-owned hub of creativity, history, and community—is about to be WIPED OUT. This isn’t just some random lot; it’s an 8-acre cultural landmark, home to nearly 30 world-class art galleries, studios, theaters, & public events that draw thousands every year. It’s where artists thrive, where locals and tourists connect with contemporary art, and where our city’s soul shines through free workshops, performances, and exhibitions. This place, born from a historic 1875 rail yard and transformed in 1994 into a beacon of culture, is OURS—paid for and cherished by YOU, the taxpayer. And now? They’re tearing it down. For what? 707 homeless, affordable, and low-income apartments crammed into high-rises, alongside TWO massive parking structures, swallowing up not just Bergamot but also the taxpayer-owned lot hosting our iconic ice-skating and roller-skating rinks in downtown Santa Monica. 😡 This is OUR money being used to destroy OUR spaces! The City of Santa Monica claims this is to “solve homelessness,” but let’s be real: this reeks of a developer-driven land grab, erasing our cultural heritage for profit-driven projects. Bergamot’s 65,000 square feet of gallery space, its industrial charm, its role as one of the West Coast’s top arts destinations—GONE. The rinks where families make memories every season? GONE. Replaced by concrete towers and parking lots that’ll clog our streets and skyline. And who’s footing the bill? WE ARE. Your tax dollars are being funneled into bulldozing what makes Santa Monica special, all under the guise of “public good.” I walked through Bergamot today and filmed it—watch the video below to see the scale of this place, its energy, its art, its life. This isn’t just a loss for artists; it’s a gut-punch to every Santa Monican who values culture, community, and transparency. They’re ripping out our city’s heart without even asking us! Why are we letting this happen? Where’s the public vote? Where’s the accountability? Why are our tax dollars being used to erase spaces that make Santa Monica a destination, only to replace them with projects that scream mismanagement and greed? We’re told it’s for “housing solutions,” but destroying taxpayer-owned cultural and recreational landmarks isn’t the answer—it’s a betrayal. @santamonicacity @TheSMCoalition @SoledadUrsua @1KimberlyBrooks @GavinNewsom @LindseyPHorvath @RickChavezZbur @BenAllenCA @jessezwick @ctorosis @nhrushka

@MayorOfLA Embarrassing. LA needs to develop around its transit infrastructure. You are making LA housing more expensive by opposing SB79.

Today I signed a City Council resolution opposing SB79 unless it is amended to exempt cities with a state-approved and compliant Housing Element. While I support the intent to accelerate housing development statewide, as written, this bill risks unintended consequences for LA.
